• Deal with shoplifters safely. Always give people the benefit of the doubt. If you suspect someone is trying to steal something, never accuse them. Give the person the chance to pay for the item by saying, “Can I ring you up?” Never try to physically stop a shoplifter – this is extremely dangerous. Call security instead.
